Zagreb, 1st December 2017 – Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. (PBZ) has been named “Bank of the Year in Croatia" by the respectable financial magazine The Banker (Financial Times Group). At the Banker Awards 2017 ceremony in London, Alessio Cioni, deputy president of the Bank Management, received the award for PBZ.

Knin, November 13, 2017 – Today, the representatives of the PBZ Group delivered to the General and Veteran Hospital “Hrvatski ponos” in Knin the grant amounting to HRK 441,962.50, enabling the purchase of a modern incubator, a reanimation table and a monitor for vital nursing functions for the needs of the paediatric department. This donation is a part of supporting the national project launched by the Ministry of Health entitled “Monitoring Children Exposed to Neurological Risks”, through which PBZ Group helps in the form of providing grants to the hospitals across the country within the project “Doing Good Every Day” intended for the benefit of children and young people. PBZ Group has, so far, collected more than eleven million Croatian Kuna within the humanitarian project “Doing Good Every Day” and has participated in 31 donations, including 24 donations to the paediatric departments of the hospitals in the Republic of Croatia and seven donations to the social welfare institutions.

Turin/Zagreb, 24 October 2017. - An entire week is to be dedicated to discussing saving in as many ways as possible, with help from experts, whilst having fun through art and historical resources. In the week dedicated to The Art of Saving, held from 24 to 31 October, the public will be able to choose from a wide range of free initiatives which will take place in Turin, Milan, Naples, Vicenza, Bologna and Palermo.

Zagreb, October 13, 2017.– Intesa Sanpaolo announces that the long-time President Mr. Božo Prka, has decided to leave PBZ upon expiration of his current mandate on February 10, 2018 for personal reasons. The Supervisory Board accepted his decision and thanked Mr. Prka for his long-standing successful management and personal contribution to the growth and development of the Bank and the whole PBZ Group.

Zagreb, September 26, 2017 - Intesa Sanpaolo Group brought its innovative Novathon contest to Croatia this year. The 24-hour innovation marathon called Novathon #withPBZ was organized in cooperation with Privredna banka Zagreb, a member of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, and was held on September 23 and 24 at Lauba. The competition was attended by 144 contestants from 7 countries, gathered in 24 teams comprised of developers, web designers, and marketing experts.

Zagreb, 25 September 2017 - The exhibition Venetian vedute from the Intesa Sanpaolo Art Collection has had its gala opening at the Museum of Arts and Crafts. The paintings of Canaletto, Guardi, Marieschi and van Lint have arrived from the Gallerie d'Italia - Palazzo Leoni Montanari, one of the most beautiful baroque palaces in Vicenza. These four artworks will be exhibited until 29 October 2017 in the permanent exhibition halls of the Museum of Arts and Crafts, intended precisely for baroque, thus extending the Baroque Summer project at the MUO with the first days of autumn.

Turin - Milan, 26 June 2017 – Following the unanimous decision reached by its board of directors, Intesa Sanpaolo has signed a contract with the liquidators of Banca Popolare di Vicenza and Veneto Banca concerning the acquisition by Intesa Sanpaolo of certain assets and liabilities and certain legal relationships of the two banks, for a token price of €1.

The Supervisory Board of Privredna banka Zagreb d.d. adopted at its meeting held on 9 June 2017 the decision to appoint Mr Alessio Cioni as member and deputy president of the Management Board of the Bank in place of Mr Gabriele Pace, whose term of office on the Management Board will end on 31 August 2017 so that he might take up a new position within the ISP Group. Mr Cioni is appointed for a term of office of three years subject to and effective from the date of obtaining prior approval of the Croatian National Bank for the performance of the function of a member of the management board of a credit institution.

Privredna banka Zagreb, the second largest bank in Croatia, has been awarded as a most active trade finance bank in Croatia in 2016, on a ceremony held in Nicosia during EBRD's Annual Meeting. Each year, the award honours the most successful participants in EBRD’s Trade Facilitation Programme (TFP) in EBRD countries of operation.

The 24-hour innovation marathon called Novathon #withPBZ will be organised in cooperation with Privredna banka Zagreb, member of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, and will take place at Lauba on 23 and 24 September. The competition is open to developers, web designers, marketing experts and students in related areas who will work in teams to create, design and build concepts, prototypes or interactive models of applications for responsive, mobile and branch banking services, which can transform the way people manage their finances. The winning team will take the top prize of 75 thousand kuna.

The European Investment Fund (EIF) and Privredna banka Zagreb (PBZ) have signed a COSME agreement in Croatia that will allow PBZ to provide HRK 350 million (ca. EUR 45.7 million) of loans to small and medium-sized Croatian businesses. This agreement was made possible by the support of the European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI). EFSI is the central pillar of the European Commission's Investment Plan for Europe.
