INTESA SANPAOLO ACQUIRES VENETO BANKA IN CROATIA

Zagreb, 29 June 2017 – Further to the acquisition by Intesa Sanpaolo SpA of certain assets and liabilities of Veneto Banca SpA including those of Veneto Banka’s Croatia, Intesa Sanpaolo, warmly welcomes the Veneto Banka Croatian customers and employees in the Intesa Sanpaolo’s family.
The acquisition, subject to relevant authorizations, increases the presence of Intesa Sanpaolo in the strategic Croatian market and immediately benefit the Croatian customers’ safety and access to credit.
In fact all the customers of Intesa Sanpaolo enjoy the strength, solidity and services offered by one of the largest and strongest banking group in Europe with 19 million clients and 5.000 branches in 40 countries all over the world.
Intesa Sanpaolo therefore operates in Croatia with two units:
• Privredna Banka Zagreb with Head Office in Zagreb and 195 branches all over Croatia;
• Veneto Banka with a network of 8 branches.
